Ali Stables is a pen and watercolour artist who works predominantly from sketchbook observations and photographs recorded on her extensive travels.
Ali is at her happiest immersed in the natural world and is frequently to be found ‘just waiting’ for a lucky encounter with elusive wildlife, binoculars and sketchbook in hand.
“I love wildlife and being outside, particularly near water. The lochs and coast of Scotland provide me with limitless inspiration close to home and I have been extremely privileged to travel widely, including in Antarctica and throughout Africa, observing and drawing wildlife.
My work is all based on my own observations and I have been lucky to be able to relive memorable encounters and locations in my wildlife cards, postcards and maps.”
